Day 6: Commitment Stands Firm
Commitment is the strength that keeps marriage standing when feelings are tired, pressure is high, and seasons change. A strong marriage cannot depend only on excitement, comfort, or convenience. Those things rise and fall. Commitment remains. It says, “We will keep building. We will keep learning. We will keep choosing what is right before God.”
Commitment does not ignore problems. It faces them with maturity. It chooses prayer instead of quitting quickly. It chooses honest conversation instead of silent distance. It chooses responsibility instead of blame. When both husband and wife remain committed to Christ, to the covenant, and to healthy growth, the marriage gains strength that pressure cannot easily break.
Today, renew your commitment in a practical way. Do not only say you are committed. Show it. Keep one promise. Repair one weakness. Serve without demanding attention. Speak with faith about your home. Refuse language that threatens the future of the marriage during conflict. Commitment stands firm when love is practised with discipline, truth, forgiveness, and steady obedience.
