The Sure Word for Today
Expressing Love.
Key Bible Verse:
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”
— 1 John 3:18
The Affirmation
We express love through action and truth. Our words are supported by care, service, honour, and consistent choices that strengthen our marriage daily.
Expressing Love | Part 1
The Sure Word Devotion
Day 1: Love Must Show
Love must show because words alone cannot carry a marriage. It is possible to say “I love you” and still leave your spouse feeling unseen, unsupported, or emotionally neglected. Real love becomes visible through action and truth. It shows in how you speak, how you serve, how you listen, how you honour, and how you respond when life is not convenient.
Expressing love requires consistency. One grand gesture cannot replace daily care. Your spouse should not have to guess whether they are valued. Love must be demonstrated in ordinary moments: helping without being asked, listening without distraction, speaking with kindness, keeping promises, and showing affection in a way your spouse can understand. Love that is not expressed can become love that is not felt.
Today, make love visible. Do not only assume your spouse knows how much you care. Show it clearly. Choose one action that communicates love in deed and truth. It may be a thoughtful message, a helpful task, a sincere apology, quality time, or a word of encouragement backed by action. Love becomes strong when it moves from intention to expression.

What promise must I keep?
How can I make love visible this week?
Inspirational Quote by Jefferson Otonbara Imgbi
“Love that stays hidden can feel absent. Let your care become visible through action, truth, service, and consistency that your spouse can experience daily.”
