Prioritising What Matters | Part 7
The Sure Word Devotion
Day 7: Keep First Things First
Purposeful living requires continual realignment. It is easy to begin with the right priorities and gradually allow pressure, distraction, ambition, or routine to push them aside. Keeping first things first means returning again and again to what matters most, especially when life becomes busy.
God must remain first, not only in words but in decisions. Your priorities should reflect His kingdom, your responsibilities, your relationships, your growth, and the purpose He has given you. When lesser things move into first place, disorder follows. When first things stay first, the rest of life becomes easier to evaluate and organise.
Today, review your priorities again. Ask what has moved out of place. What is receiving too much attention? What important area has been neglected? What needs to return to its proper position? Keeping first things first is not a one-time decision. It is a daily discipline. When you continue to seek God first and order life around what truly matters, you create space for wisdom, peace, balance, and purposeful living.
