Day 1: The Lord Is My Shield, Not My Strength Alone

Strength alone cannot carry you through every battle. Psalm 28:7 reminds you that the Lord is both strength and shield. Strength empowers you, but the shield protects you. Many people rely on their own power and only turn to God when they are overwhelmed. But divine protection works best when you recognise that your strength is limited and His covering is limitless.

David understood this truth. He faced lions, bears, and giants, but he never trusted in his strength alone. His victories were rooted in God’s covering, not in human ability. When God becomes both your strength and your shield, you stop fighting as if everything depends on you. You begin to rest under divine protection that surrounds your mind, heart, and path.

Today, choose to trust the shield that never fails. You are not fighting alone. You are covered.
