"The Abundance of the Free Favour of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19
Hi Visitor,
Are You Bleeding? If You Are Still Bleeding, You Are Still Breathing (You Are Bleeding Because You Are Breathing)
You may not see the wound, but it is there. It hurts. It affects how you walk, how you love, and how you dream. You are bleeding inside, but you are still breathing. That means life is still with you. The pain you carry may not be visible, but your survival is the evidence that you still have purpose.
Internal wounds, whether emotional, mental, or spiritual, are not signs of weakness. They are signs of life. You only bleed when your heart still beats. The enemy wants to convince you that your brokenness makes you useless, but the truth is, your breath proves your strength. Each breath is a declaration that you are still in the fight.
Jesus understands the reality of inner wounds. Isaiah 53:5 reminds us that He was “wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities.” He bled so you could heal. Your wounds are not permanent. They are reminders that you are human and still becoming. They are not the end; they are the beginning of a deeper healing journey.
Think about a time when you smiled while bleeding inside. Remember how you kept showing up, how you kept moving forward even with the weight of silent pain. That resilience is not by accident. It is divine strength holding you. Recognise the courage it takes to carry invisible pain and still live with integrity.
Understand that unacknowledged wounds will never heal. Silence does not stop the bleeding. Admitting your pain is not a weakness; it is the first step to healing. Let today be the moment you stop pretending you are fine. Begin by being honest with God and with yourself. That is where healing starts.
Ask yourself: Where am I still bleeding? How have I covered up pain that needs attention? Today, open your heart to God’s healing presence. Write down your pain. Name it. Then release it to God in prayer. Your breath is proof that healing is possible.
“You are not broken because you are bleeding. You are brave because you are still breathing. Healing begins when you admit the pain and keep moving.”
Father, I come to You with the wounds I can no longer hide. Thank You that I am still breathing, still standing. Heal the places that are bleeding inside of me. Give me the strength to face my pain, the courage to stop pretending, and the faith to believe that healing is already unfolding in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
