"The Abundance of the Free Favour of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19
Hi Visitor,
Love is not just an emotion; it is the foundation that holds every effort for peace together. 1 Corinthians 13:7 tells us that love “beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.” Without love, even the most skilful conflict resolution strategies fall short. Love changes the motive from wanting to win to wanting to heal. It shifts the focus from pride to peace, from proving a point to preserving a relationship.
When love leads, you listen more than you speak, and you seek to understand rather than to be understood. Love keeps your heart soft even when tensions are high. It helps you hold space for the other person’s pain and perspective without becoming defensive or harsh. Choosing love does not mean you agree with wrong behaviour. It means you value peace and connection over temporary satisfaction from an argument.
Today, let love become your foundation in every conflict, big or small. Whether at home, at work, or within your community, let every word and action reflect a heart committed to healing. When love is your guide, resolution becomes possible, and peace finds a place to grow.
Think about a conflict you resolved peacefully. What role did love play in that outcome? Now, recall a conflict where love was absent—notice the difference in the results. Let this awareness encourage you to choose love as your first response moving forward.
In scripture, Jesus demonstrated love even when confronted by betrayal and accusation. His approach to conflict always reflected compassion and grace. He did not seek to crush opponents but to redeem and restore. Let His example shape your responses.
Write down one area where you are facing conflict today. Then write, “I choose love as my foundation.” As you interact with the person involved, remind yourself to listen, stay calm, and act with kindness.
"Love does not remove conflict. It transforms how you face it and invites peace to take root."
May God bless your heart with a love that overcomes pride and fear. May He help you approach every conflict with patience, kindness, and a genuine desire for healing. Let your words bring peace, and your actions reflect His love. May every situation be transformed by grace flowing through you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
